who sat on death row since 1998.

The original prosecutor on the case tried to stop the execution, because he said Williams was completely innocent, but Missouri executed him anyway.

The Missouri governor, the Missouri State Supreme Court, and the US Supreme Court refused to stay the execution even with overwhelming evidence of innocence because they didn't care.
