Sleeping in foxholes with no cold weather gear and not enough food or ammunition. Your dad and all who fought over there truly were the greatest generation!

I recently was able to watch the Band of Brothers series, which I’d seen recommended here numerous times. The episode on the Battle of the Bulge and Bastogne was highly enlightening. Again, I can’t imagine being that cold for multiple days and nights and having the enemy trying to kill you.
