2. Subcutaneous fluids, that we administered

at home kept our bluepoint Siamese healthy for almost 2 years. We started when she was about 16 years of age. She passed away around 18 years. The vets gave us a bag of saline solution, set of infusion needles drip lines,etc, and showed us how to do it. She loved to sit on our laps and get a pet, so it was no problem. She never reacted when I inserted the needle in. We have had other cats that there was no way we could this, if they needed it.

This was at least 20 years ago and at the time, there were no other options, according to the vets.
