Leo loved to lie down next to me when I went to bed. As soon as I reached the point of completely dozing off, he would tap my forehead to awaken me. This would go on several times before he allowed me to go to sleep.

I never understood why he kept waking me up.

I usually sleep on my side or sometimes on my stomach. I would wake up in the morning with Leo curved against my back or up against my chest with his head under my chin. If I shifted during the night, Leo readjusted his position as soon as I was done readjusting mine.

If I did not wake up on my own when it was time for his breakfast, he bit my toes to awaken me, repeatedly, mercilessly, until I got up.
