You can let it go to seed so you have more plants
as far as preserving the leaves, I tend to cut then and wrap it in a damp paper towel and put that in a green plastic bag (they have them at my local shoprite, but a regular paper bag will work for a short while. Then try to use as soon as possible, te bulbs can be cleaned and kept for much longer.
