Ah, summer, the time when annuals are really, really cheap! [View all]

I just got back from the farmer's market. For $50, I came back with a carload of annuals to fix up my containers that got smashed last week. I ended up with 7 flats, 16 6" pots, and 5 4" potted annuals for an even $50.

Begonias, coleus, celosia, dusty miller, blue salvia, new guinea impatiens, ornamental peppers, purple fountain grass, some dwarf cannas that will, of course, last for years and years.

I know, I'm bad with pictures, either my camera batter is never charged, or I can't find the stupid memory card, but I PROMISE I will post some photos tonight of the before and after.

So, I have half of July, all of August, September, and possibly half or more of October to enjoy these. I think that's worth $50.
