1. Here in the city in NE FL, the bugs ate about 1/2 of the tomatos.

They started out great, no problems at all and tomato plants were producing beautiful Heirloom tomatos. Then the bugs came, starting in June. They got about 1/2 the tomatos, at first and then it bexame a real struggle. We sprayed the plants with a mixture of bleach and dish detergent, it slowed the bugs some, but in a few days they'd be right back.

The peppers have not been touched and we have a bumper crop of 6 kinds of peppers. Unfortunately, I'm not a hot pepper fan, that's my husband. He makes hot sauce and rub from them that everyone loves. I even like the rub, it's so tasty and he's very careful to remove all the seeds so I can tolerate it. Hot sauce - no. One of the peppers isn't hot and he makes great poppers with those that I love too.
