What's for Dinner, Sat., July 26, 2025 [View all]

Justaprogressive has a thread on this forum entitled "5 Vegetable Tops You Should Never Throw Out," and I was reminded, "Wow, use those greens on those turnips you just pulled." First, here's a pic of the two turnips I grew:

I know, I know. Gorgeous. (Takes a bow.)

On the site are links to recipes for radish greens, carrot tops, etc., and I made note of a couple recipes other than bruschetta that I wanted to try. They didn't have a recipe for turnip greens, though, so I found this site that had a great idea! Make it a bruschetta all day long adventure, so I decided to do that. My first effort for turnip greens is pictured here, with red onion, garlic, and olive oil.

I tried this with goat cheese and also Swiss cheese. So delish.

Here's the all-day-long bruschetta extravaganza concept:

That's all I'm having, except for kombucha (cherry).
