Running toward a goal is much better than running away from a problem. [View all]

As of 01/01/2013, I started jogging. I haven't done that since my 20's.

Picture this, 6 am on a cold Michigan morning, pitch dark save the street lights. Temp 18 degrees, spitting snow, windchill of 6 degrees. Pavement half snow covered. I'm out there in a fluorescent green Nike hoodie and a new pair of New Balance cross trainers. Strobing LED armband so I don't get hit by a car. 'Overexposed' by Maroon 5 on the iPod. Did about half a mile, walked another half mile.

It was FUCKING AWESOME.

Running toward for once, not running away.
