5. The rain really slowed down and I fell asleep but I just woke to heavy rain, again! I did NOT mean to fall asleep!

I raced down the basement stairs to check on the sump pump. Earlier the water was coming in very light and slow. Now it's back to near pouring in so NO MORE SLEEP until this rain has left the area. At least the sump pump is sill pumping.

Sian just jumped up on my lap and pressed herself down against me so that I'll stay put and stop panicking.
