4. I cared for my mother who had dementia back in the 1990s. Now my husband, at 74, is having

problems with dementia after the onset of seizures. He gets episodes of sundowning where he is fearful and not oriented to time or place. His neurologist put him on a SSRI antidepressant along with some Ativan to take only when having a bad episode accompanied with anxiety. The medication has really made a difference after taking it for several weeks now. Possibly her doctor can try some medications to make her more comfortable and relaxed?
