1. I find the doc/patient relationship often difficult and certainly complex.

Just think of the whole state of nearly undressed, sitting on a table, rapid fire questions and not always good skill at listening. There is a power play going on, impatience, the financial aspect - fear factor, the whole thing about complete honesty, guilt if you let some things slip....it is pretty miserable, actually. (says the dude laying ass out having a tube rammed up today following force drinking of 140 ounces of foul tasting sludge).

Hang in there......as the doc says, "it will only hurt for a minute" (yeah, right).
