        He had been doing this since the 1970s, when he was in his early 20s, and was over 55 when his cancer broke out. Whether or not he was wearing some kind of protection later on, I suspect he never even thought of it for the first few decades. I was never around when he was "playing."

        What do you mean by fiddling with chemicals?  Taking drugs? Or some hobby chemist?
