I had various viruses and mild illnesses that I called flues during my 20s and 30s, and had the 'real' flu once. Now I very rarely get a cold or other viral sickness even though exposed constantly as a teacher. I've never had a flu shot.

Maybe I should thank the Bubonic Plague. I am 3/4 English, 1/4 Scottish.
