1. IMHO, hydrogen fuel is the best bet to take over the role that gasoline currently plays.

I'm just saddened that it's an oligarcy/dictatorship that has the vision to develop it. Meanwhile, the leaders of the democratic countries are just sitting around taking BRIBES (lobby money) from the old technology companies to SUPPRESS innovation.

Hydrogen gas can be made in two ways.

Electrolysis: just run an electric current through water, and you get hydrogen and oxygen. Both of which are useful.

Processing methane: Methane can either be extracted from natural gas; or produced by fermentation by methanogenic bacteria. The methanogens are the best bet, because they can generate massive amounts of methane gas by processing SEWAGE. So, you kill two birds with one stone. (You have to capture the methane gas, of course. But once you've got it, you don't burn it. You split it into hydrogen gas, and solid carbon.)

The state of hydrogen development is technologically exciting, and politically depressing!
