If you had read the article (which you clearly did not), it acknowledges the widely known criticism of shot spotter technology. Those criticisms were NOT applicable here. They are racially biased because they are located only in communities of color. They are no longer being used because they result in overpolicing NOT because it doesn't detect gunfire. In fact, it detects MORE gunfire in these communities suggesting a need for TRAUMA INFORMED responses NOT policing. READ BEFORE POSTING.
