3. Schools Stayed Opened Here In Illinois

I don't object to added caution but 2 separate IDPH studies showed schools to not be superspreader events. One of those was before 12 year olds & up could get vaxxed.
During omicron, only 17 schools made the outbreak list, over 8 weeks in a state with over 2 million elementary & high school students. An outbreak is defined as 5 positives in one week, no matter the size of the school.
One of those schools has 4,800 students.
5 more were special needs schools where masking, distancing, & sanitation compliance is inherently more difficult.
In the 15 schools in which I sub, NONE still provided an online option.
And, the teachers I know prefer it this way. Any suggestion that these teachers don't care about their students would be both ludicrous & insulting.
