Lancaster, Wisconsin man found guilty in beating [View all]

From Wisconsin;

After a one-day trial Wednesday in Grant County Circuit Court, jurors found Timothy J. Riley, 38, of rural Lancaster, guilty of substantial battery, disorderly conduct and two counts of felony bail jumping. Riley is one of two men accused of a Sept. 28 assault that left Joseph Koelker, 28, of Cassville, Wis., seriously injured.

Koelker on Wednesday testified that on Sept. 28 he was at Yesterdaze Tavern in Beetown Township when he overheard Riley making crude remarks about Koelker's girlfriend, Kim Kleindl. Koelker pushed Riley down on the bar floor and a brief tussle ensued, but it was quickly broken up by bar patrons.

Riley and Jeremy A. Kastner, 29, of Platteville, were kicked out of the bar. Koelker said he waited 15 minutes before leaving the bar to head to Kleindl's home.

Riley acknowledged making comments that were "most likely inappropriate," but said Koelker instigated the initial skirmish. After being kicked out of the bar, Riley said he and Kastner were passing the time by throwing beer bottles at each other in the parking lot when Koelker confronted them again.

It's just the line in bold that got me...throwing beer bottles at each other. Is that a thing now in Wisconsin?
