My wife is hinting she wants a notebook [View all]

I'm not sure what a notebook is. She wants to have internet access capabilities, be able to text messages, maybe even be able to down load a book. Maybe emails instead of text messages
What do I look for???
Wants it to not be tethered in any way as she is using it.
