Everyone else in my family is Apple except me. I think you can easily get the data transferred via an Apple Store, etc. Others here will be better placed to tell you how to transfer data.

One thing I would suggest you do is call your existing mobile phone company and see what they can do to get you a newer phone and better plan. I hadn't changed plans in about four years, and when I did (earlier this year), I was able to get a new plan that was far cheaper than the one I was on and get a buy-one-get-one free iPhone offer for my family for very little more than I was paying now, when I factored in the new cheaper monthly plan. Plus I got 3 additional lines.

If you get no joy, check around with other providers. All of the mobile phone companies have deals like this. You will get locked in for a period, but in our case, that was fine.

If your current provider finds out you might leave, they can magically come up with better deals! (at least in my experience).
