2. Does ballot order really make a difference for the major offices?

I understand why some people may default to choosing the first person listed for local judges or school boards.

If I don't know, I usually will vote for the incumbent ( if I think things are okay) or just leave it blank.

For the last local school board election, I had no idea (and I tried to find if the Teacher's union had a list of endorsed candidates).
