1. -- reminds me of the hog operation in one of the Carolinas a few years back.

A small leak in the plastic liner led to a methane build-up under the manure pit. As I recall, the explosion sent pig manure 500 ft into the air.

Now if ya never smelled pig manure, besides the initial stink, you will get to revisit the smell of it up to two or three days after you leave the farm.

In my experience, the smell is matched only by that of clam shells, piled in the open summer sun. Ya gotta go to a clam cannery to experience that one.
