6. Policing in the USA is broken. I'm not sure it can be "fixed."

In my hometown & county, several current LEOs were the most blatant criminals in the area back in the day. Another was our most prolific drug dealer. My own brother was a local cop until he got fired for egregious behavior, and some of the things I know about him would curl your hair. So, I tend not to hold LEOs, in general, in very high regard. I know a few generally righteous fellows who were LEOs for a while, but they all eventually got disenchanted and found other professions.
