with medical issues they don't want to pay for. That's what happened. He went to one hospital and they said he needed specialized treatment. So, they brought him back to jail and then released him - so he'd have to figure out a way to find help.

Prisons do this too (I've seen it) - they put one of the women I worked with (pretty disabled woman) on work release! She needed specialized medical services they didn't want to pay for.
