3. Just the other day someone on one of the news shows brought up "alternative facts"

As a blast from the past! We're already just addressing certain historical events being "left out" of curriculums - like slavery. The solution is to cover all events objectively - I'll always be grateful for my 9th grade social studies teacher who covered some of the atrocities that occurred during the '60s Civil Rights Movement that I never remember hearing about anywhere else (Until I watched "Eyes on the Prize" on PBS). He obviously thought it was important.

And the other thing is that there's so much more important history now that it's tough to cover it all - something I already heard about years ago. When I was in 7th grade we had 2 separate English classes - different teachers. One was reading and spelling and the other was grammar. They could do that with history - we had one year of state history, one of world history and another year was American history. But by now, there's enough to be covered to rate more than one class.

That said, thanks for Randy Rainbow! He makes his points extremely entertaining!
