Six Dead After Small Plane Crashes In Upstate New York; Cause Under Investigation - CNN-News18 [View all]

A small plane crashed in upstate New York, killing all six people on board, officials said, coming just days after a helicopter plummeted into the Hudson River.

The Mitsubishi MU-2B was headed to Columbia County Airport in Hudson, New York, when it crashed into an open field near Copake, a small town located about 20 miles southeast of the airport, around 12:15 p.m. local time on April 12, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.

The aircraft went down on Two Town Road near Copake and did not damage any structures, Undersheriff Jacqueline Salvatore said at a news conference. - Aired on 04/14/2025.
