Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan responds today to Hamtramck city council vote Tuesday banning Pride flags on city property. Duggan said the city raises the LGBTQ Pride flag and “allows it to fly throughout the year…everyone is welcome here in Detroit.”
Oakland County Executive David Coulter also responded to the Hamtramck vote banning LGBTQ flags on city property, saying: "You're welcome here." Oakland County is north of Hamtramck, which is in Wayne County.
