That got me to thinking about '08 and Dr. Dean's 50-state strategy. Maybe we need a version of that, a 99-county strategy? There are a lot of deep red places in Iowa, it's true, but there are enough that could go for a Dem for us to get Terrace Hill back and maybe the legislature. I'm looking at counties like Winneshiek, Fayette, and Marshall. I think the IDP needs to look at winning throughout the state, not just the metropolitan areas.

And I'm so glad to see that whiny diva Blum go!
