I agree with 16th and red - I can't speak for your area but far too many around me would vote for Hitler as long as he had "-R" behind his name. Years ago a good guy ran for county board as a D and lost. Two years later, he ran as an R, same platform, and won. You can't fix stupid. Now I live in a more rural area of the 16th and -R is pretty much an automatic vote. But probably not for long as mortality always wins. Of those that have offspring, few remain in this area.
