LIVE BLOG: Tornado Watch issued for several counties until 11 p.m. [View all]

CHICAGO –A Tornado Watch has been issued for several counties including Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, until 11 p.m.

The full list of counties is: Boone; Bureau; Carroll; Champaign; Cook; De Kalb; De Witt; Douglas; DuPage; Edgar; Ford; Fulton; Grundy; Hancock; Henderson; Henry; Iroquois; Jo Daviess; Kane; Kankakee; Kendall; Knox; La Salle; Lake; Lee; Livingston; Logan; Macon; Marshall; Mason; McDonough; McHenry; McLean; Menard; Mercer; Ogle; Peoria; Piatt; Putnam; Rock Island; Stark; Stephenson; Tazewell; Vermilion; Warren; Whiteside; Will; Winnebago; Woodford

Conditions appear to be developing that will return the warm moist unstable air back over our area Monday afternoon, followed by an upper-air impulse that will track southeast out of western Wisconsin and eastern Iowa, triggering another cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms with flash-flood producing downpours late Monday afternoon into the evening.

The greatest risk – a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms will exist farther south in central and southern Illinois into southwestern Indiana and the western half of Kentucky.
