To be absolutely accurate, in case we have a resident herpetologist, there are no native snakes on Hawaiian Islands. There is, however, a tiny earthworm- like snake (the Hawaiian Blind snake) that originated from the Philippines and is among the world's tiniest snakes. It feeds on termites and ants, is nonvenomous and thus really more earthworm than snake at only six inches or so)..
