they are really kind of interesting, they can learn to adapt to activity around their nests and not be so aggressive. there is one nest in the driveway that will crawl on you if you stand right on the entrance, but they don't actively seek out to sting if you are walking around or doing something nearby. further out, away from normal activity they will come for you if you are within 20 feet of an entrance.
