I give you the Schmidt sting pain index for hymenoptera

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmidt_sting_pain_index

my father did some photography work at the Carl Hayden Bee lab when he was an undergrad. connections, mannnnn

I have said before of the local regular stingers around here, harvester ants are the worst (and I live with scorpions). hadn't been stung by one in a few years, but my luck ran out this morning. so nerd that I am I went a-googling. yep they are a 3 out of 4. and it runs up the lymph system. stung on the inside of my lower leg just abouve the ankle and I am feeling it now in my groin and left abdominal area. whew, makes a scorpion sting feel kind of like a cake walk (NOT REALLY)
