Did you catch the look in her eyes while announcing the song? Emphasis. Writer's pride perhaps. Emotional immensely gifted gal. Not to mention all that awaited to Taylor. It may have been pre-arranged, but I thought it was cool that he sat below her, let her have the spotlight as it were.
