Do handguns have that kind of safety?
I guess not, as toddlers have managed to shoot guns.
About a mile from me, a toddler picked up his dad's loaded gun (on the coffee table!) and shot his brother.

"With the hammer de-cocked on a loaded chamber, the gun was able to detonate a primer "without a pull of the trigger when the hammer was struck directly," which is normal for this type of revolver, the report stated."

Not sure what that means? If something hit the hammer, it could "detonate"-- does that mean that it could shoot the bullet?
