Dave Van Ronk: God Bless the Child [View all]
For my money, his greatest song, that subtle guitar, and his voice breaking all over the place, the phrasing of the word, "crowding" perfect Van Ronk. The second "Monday..." No one could do a word in a song like that.
I spent many hours in my life as a young man listening to this recording over and over and never got tired of it. Every time I played it, it felt like the first time I heard it.
