10. I'm 74, I'm not that fond of living in the city, but I would make

an exception for SF, I think? Every time I go there I hate to leave. I spent my post college days in the Montrose area of Houston that had similar vibes back them, then transferred with my work to the Austin area back when it was much smaller and very cool. When it started to become a big city I left for the Texas Hill Country and have been here for the last 3 decades. However, like everywhere these days - things have changes. I have gotten old. But I still admire free-spirited progressive people and they are still around but no so much in the rural areas - with the housing crisis we now have I think a move back to the "mother earth" days of the 60s and 70s would be a good solution for many.
