Cotton Candy was invented by two people. One of them was a dentist. Now, wasn't that one hell of a corporate move.

Cotton candy was invented in 1897 by dentist William Morrison and confectioner John C. Wharton, who created a machine that spun heated sugar through tiny holes to form the fluffy strands. They first introduced their creation, originally called "Fairy Floss," at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, where it became a huge success.
