1. Nope! I live in FL and see the damage caused by winds and waves every year

I live at the top of a 30 ft hill across from the St. Johns, so safe from the winds and have no big trees on the property so feel safe. We sold our old house to my sister, and it has a huge dying oak tree very close to her house and it's in a bunch of wires so very expensive to cut down. We'll end up splitting the cost with her, but hoping we can make it through one more year to recover financially from our moves before ponying up another big chunk of $$.

I could never have been comfortable there for any period of time - too dangerous for me. Didn't buy a house in Key West years ago because of the danger of storms there and so glad we didn't!!
