2. Thanks for the info. We also have security cameras and while they show activity, the resolution is not the best.

I share your objection to monthly fees. After 20+ years of a basic "wake-me-up-someone-breaks-in" system... that's all we really need and want.

Also, in our county, if someone has an ADT-like (monitored) system, they are also required to register their system with the county and pay a fee (tax). Apparently the name of the service is documented in the dispatchers records so they can know it's a legit call, or something.
