their own voters in red districts to pollute blue districts they necessarily diminish their own power, narrowing their lead, in the red districts which gave up red voters.
If those red voters vote blue, or at least stay home, perhaps some of the districts won't stay red.

I hope that the Democratic party is working on this on the same granular level as the Republicans.
