But I haven’t really played with Linux in over a decade. I thought of taking an old laptop I may have lying around and put linux on it to bring it back to life.

I think one issue is still compatibility with hardware and drivers. It was never easy. Of course for workflows, they could prove to be rough to switch. I’m curious how this works out.
