4. The UK's likely looking to reinforce Cyprus, where it has a couple of airbases which have already been attacked.

The Cypriots are seeing the presence of the bases as attracting danger, so could decide to tell the UK to leave, hence a degree of concern about shoring up the defensive military presence there and thereabouts.
