It has never been about that. With him it is all about revenge on his perceived enemies. He's so mentally deranged he has no idea what he's doing each day let alone any long range plans. Can you even imagine what it must be like to live every day just thinking about what the next cruel thing you can do to someone is going to be? He is the perfect example of the old saying that money can't buy happiness. He is truly a miserable human being (the human being part is questionable).
