They are reaching for ANY excuse not to release those files. A new investigation might just give them cover for holding files back.

We all know Trump is likely hounding Bondi to 'shut it down!' to the point of brutality. She fully deserves it, but still, it's gonna make her willing to try any stunt to shut him up.
