I remember some numbnut in the obama admin (I think it was) talking about chained cpi... something about when we can't afford beef we'll just buy chicken, or whatever is cheaper. Thus, the inflation doesn't count. Or something that stupid, anyway. It was focused on elderly "spending habits" and how they could get around not being in the majority of shoppers and how they spend their money.
I remember when I could buy a can of refried beans, a little hamburger, and some fixings and make a decent burrito meal for under $5. Those are days LONG past. The refried beans, alone, now nearly coast $5, and forget adding meat to the mix!

No, but the GOP still has higher favorability ratings than Democrats. People seem to like living in a dictatorship.
