The Blaze, started by phony Glenn Beck, had a business model that was ripped off from InfoWars.

Start a news outlet, publish stories via that outlet(usually dishonest stories), then go on social media and link to those stories as if they are legit. Finally tell your listeners to do their own research, which will bring them back to your news outlet/stories to complete the loop. All the while selling your listeners/readers bullshit snake oil. That's the grift, and that's the point.
