3. Or a handful of regional ones, where the order changes each cycle

I can understand giving candidates time to physically campaign, but Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina aren't representative of the overall national demographics. I feel there should be four mega primaries, one each in March, April, May, and June. These would cycle over the presidential election cycles. But that way candidates have some time to campaign a region and build momentum.
