Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard demanded that the Department of Justice investigate and prosecute officials from the Obama administration. The Trump administration has been reeling for the past two weeks after the DOJ concluded that deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein did not have a client list and did not blackmail powerful people who may have engaged in criminal activity.
Those findings were a far cry from Attorney General Pam Bondi’s claim back in February about Epstein’s client list “sitting on my desk.” Her department also declined to release files in the case, which she and FBI Director Kash Patel had claimed contained explosive and damaging information about notable figures. President Donald Trump has defended his administration from critics, including some in his MAGA base, which he suggested are “pretty bad people” for continuing to focus on Epstein.
In recent days, Gabbard has been on a mission to refocus the discussion on the 2016 presidential election, which she alleged was marred by a “treasonous conspiracy” by Obama officials to thwart Trump’s candidacy and subsequent presidency. Multiple U.S. intelligence agencies and a Republican-led panel found that Russia attempted to intervene in the 2016 election on Trump’s behalf, a conclusion that Gabbard disputes.
Gabbard appeared on Sunday Morning Futures on Fox News, where she alleged a massive cover-up by intelligence officials in the Obama administration.
