They got the bigoted people in the poor and working classes
to vote against their own best interests, many of them in
the mindset of rugged individualism and social darwinism.

Thats where we are now.

However, what the greedy, rich, and predatory GOPers don't
realize is that their lives will also be upended and will change
much for the worse as long as their lust for greed and power
continues.

They are not immune to diseases, are subject to climate change
like everyone else, and are completely ignorant of how to live
in a human society.
